Why is there no 5D MK II review on dpreview.com (external link)? Is this going to turn into another 1d MK III, with no review.

Ummmm, this kinda looks like their review to me... LINK (external link)

Even if they are calling it a "preview". What else are they going to cover?

They usually do a suite of image quality tests, as well as direct comparison to other cameras in that class. Once the full review is published (which will likely be soon), it will be the Hands-On Preview + IQ tests.

They still need to add the image tests and conclusion. It's just as well that they haven't completed it yet with the black dot and banding issues -- hopefully resolved for good.

A. The camera was released at the beginning of the holiday season.

B. The staff undoubtedly already had a full to-do list, and there was no point doing a test until after the firmware fix had been released.

C. It's only two weeks beyond the holidays, and even if they had nothing better to do, a proper test and report would take at least two weeks.
