For $1200, you can have him for a whole day. Not sure if that includes travel.......

Travel, virgins, and peanuts not included.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

He shoots like he posts, so he's bound to get one right every once in awhile.

Yep. **** happens.

Seriously though, I've only put about 15,000 frames on my 1D II in the past 2 years. I'd say that's actually quite a low figure. The 10D barely gets used unless I'm feeling special sporty.

I also take photos of my little boy around the house. But I also get hired to take photos and they are much better with my 5d than with 40d. Better colors, better resolution, better dynamic range.

I also do alot of theater photography. I will never again even bring the 40d with me to the theater. 5dMKII is spectacularly better.

You have a website? I'd love to take a look at your work and see comparisons between the two.

Anyway.. this really is a waste of time.

My final comment would be that I don't care who shoots with what. I just don't understand the resentment that the 5d has brought with it. Some people get so angry that the camera is better and I don't get it.

Oh well. Have a nice afternoon.

My website isn't the issue here. I am not a wedding photographer and the comparisons aren't the same, especially since I don't have any 5d photos on my website yet. I never claimed to be any better of a photographer then CDI. I have tried to comment on the cameras and the differences between the two.

I can see where Jam is coming from since I shoot a lot of concerts. High ISO performance will be better with the 5DII as well as detail rendered at high ISO. The latter gives you more freedom in processing the images, esp with NR. Also the 5DII images take well to pulling details out of the shadows. It all adds up to quite a difference for available light photographers. I don't know if I would call it a spectacular difference, but it is certainly there.

I'll be able to give you some comparisons after Feb. 6 (assuming I still have my 30D) or possibly sooner if I don't use flash this weekend.

Sure. Take a look at my truly impressive collection of cat and baby pictures at:

but I know we're on borrowed time since this already post-dates your stated "final post" on the topic, so I appreciate any input you deign to share.
