But the nose, which is what I focused on, is AWESOME! :)

Just got my 35L and I'm in love.

Since it arrived after dark, my dog was about the only willing participant, and I figured it was better than the shot of another Canon box or lens cap. This thing is definitely sharper than my Sigma was at 1.4

And for her nose that should be black, but is pink

Yeah, I cheated over the weekend and had to use the 35L that I had ordered from a store for a shoot, since this one took so long to get here. But now, this one is all MINE!

But now, this has brought upon an unknown problem. I'm now thinking of selling my zooms to go for the trinity. I won't do it, since the practicality of zooms is needed when shooting my kids, but damn primes are fun.

Enjoy the lens.

Congrats on the pick up. Regarding being sharper than the EX, I'd like to see a side by side. You'd be surprised at what plopping down $1K on a lens can do to the mind. In reality, they're pretty darn close starting from wide open with the slight nod to the Siggie at the center.

For me, the effect was "WTF, I paid $1K for this?" :p, but LightRules, TaDa does have a 5D, so for him, if the focal length is right, there really is no better lens.
