Her eyes look a little OOF. I think the chest and stomach area is more in focus. :(

Could be....kinda hard to tell on this reduced for web shot....but wow...I love the pose, and she's a stunner. Well done Bo.

petey- i'd love to see some of your stuff without the funky colors. I think especially this last one would be a lot better.

george m w wrote in post #8467081 (external link)
....ha ! ha ! ....see, there 'ya go: I think that is what makes that shot. The hair style, the shirt...it all screams that 'vintage look'....so the color tone completes it for me.

So there you go Petey: it's "art"....because different folks are interpreting it differently. Success.

petey is going on tour !!! haha.. good work bro..

nothing ground breaking but just the play with light

from last nights fun wedding - i am starting to like doing these now.. i have 4 weddings this month.. 3 of 4 completed...

do your guys fore arms get crampy by the end of the night? lol... i need to work out.. or sell the keg..

outside shots..

1 - speed light 430EX2 triggered cactaus v4 @ 1/16 power, subject back camera right..
2 - 1 alien bee 1600 @ 1/16th power , with beauty dish , about 15 feet away..

that is all.. easy and simple but still some work to tug around, especially for a wedding.

Phamster,
Nice shots, all. The first one is a really fun shot. I'd clone out the light on the roof and call it done.
Good work. Re all the lugging stuff around...you need an assistant !

Lawnboy's Back

In the second photo I wanted to use my 580ii as a hair light but I could not get it to fire (using cybersync) so I just went with the two AB 800s. Should I just ditch the 580ii and purchase a new AB 800 to go along with the two other ones that I already own?

Lawnboy....you 'da man ! And you've got the coolest toys ! Now tell us....was your wife out there laughing at you again this time ?! Just kiddin' brotha !
As to your question...for sure a third AB would be cool....but why not just figure out why the 580 was not firing ? Probably something simple. I get my 430 to fire reliably alongside my AB's ( using PW's ).

Oh yeah...just like your last post....I had to mess a bit with your shot...not a real clean job, but I had a quick go at cloning out the distractions. Keep up the posting....good stuff. And if you've been getting the same moisture we've been getting up here....you're gonna be mowing for the rest of the season !

Not sure I can agree with you. The depth of field is rather deep and if anything on the model is in focus so are eyes.
And it does look sharp on my monitor.

The phrase below your posts about lighting breaking and making a photo is well illustrated by your photos. The indoor stuff is very good. the outdoor however seems to be messed up.

Thanks george, I quess I will need to read the manual. As for my wife; I was working late on one of the football fields so she did not see me. Thanks for the cloning it looks alot better.

It is possible...but, on my monitor, they are slightly OOF. Maybe the original is better, it is possible. ;)
