Quick question. On the Garbage bag model, Kathryn, I think.......I know Pham doesn't use a meter but did you meter? or over expose for the white outfit? or just use what the camera gave you.

Pretty much what the light gave us.
Settings were fixed at 1/160s - f/9.0 - ISO100 - for all photos.
That image near SOOC, but i brought down the grey seamless a lot in PP to add some more pop to the image. Darker background helps her pop out more, I think.

Hey guys, I have a quick question for you all. I've been looking at getting a beauty dish for a while, but they're quit making the white one because of chipping paint? but anyway, how is the new silver high output bd aside from being high output?

Great job Pham and Ryan. The shots look awesome! Pham, which PLM do you use? It looked like a 86" silver w/ diffuser but didn't know for sure.

I dont have any experience with a white beauty dish, just the new High Output dish from PCB. When I used it inside, working pretty close it worked very well giving nice contrasty specular highlights but not so hard as to be troublesome. Using it outside against the sun, at slightly farther away, maybe 10-12 feet it was pretty hard light, almost like no modifier at all other than spill controlled. Its a good tool, but perhaps not as versatile as a plm or a softbox.
