HEY YALL .. update on the PLMs.

They are now shipping them out. PCB just emailed me and said mine was shipped out. So no more backorders ;) If you are further down on their backorder list you should get yours on the 2nd shipment towards the end of Jan.

wow... just wow... I'm new to learning lighting and want to invest on some good equipment. I'm looking to get 2 AB800 so that I can do more versatile automotive photography and get better at portraits. I'm looking at the DigiBee kit. Is there anything else I'll need to purchase? I own 2 PW FlexTT5's and a 580EXII.

The acronyms are stumping me... LOL I just figured out what PLM is

A vagabond portable power source would be good.

Be aware that the long-awaited Einstein is apparently very close to release, and it appears to be quite a lot more versatile than the AB series.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Yes I did notice that. I'll look into that as well but for the cost I'll have to wait longer to get more equipment. Thanks though

Continuing a series for a local salon haircolorist, so the focus is on the hair, and especially on the hair color.... these are all straight OOC, just RAW to JPEG conversion. I (or somebody else) will be doing some PP later once the client has decided which images they're going to use. These are my favorites for each model.

For this setup, I had an AB800 on a boom with the 16" eBay beauty dish with 20° grid top and slightly camera left, pretty much directly over the model's head but a little towards the camera. White Lightning 10k camera right, through a medium Photoflex Multidome with louvers. 2x White Lightning 5k with CTO gels and barndoors for background lights. I had the background WL's firing from their optical sensors, which didn't work sometimes since I had the other lights so highly controlled from the grid and louvers. I really need to get some grids for my PCB foldable softboxes, a grid for my PCB beauty dish, and an AB speedring so I can use the Photoflex softbox with my AB's.
