The V2 PLMs are going to have a speedring so the flash tube is centered. And, there will be an elinchrome ring adapter. So, the Genesis will work as well as the AB.

I have two Med SBs but once I got my PLMs I tend to use them. Easy to get up and ready and nice light.

I posted a couple of images from my first shoot with the PLM earlier (6753) a couple of post later there are lighting diagrams and a link to two galleries of images I did with PLMs.

Very nice Peter.
A couple of additional minutes cleaning up some distracting details will make it even better.
Something silver is "growing" out of the shoulder of the guy in the black v neck.
Water bottle just to their left on the ground.
Little nobbies growing out of the two watch caps.
scab or something on the lower lip of the guy on the right.

I'd also burn the houses darker. And, clone out the light colored piece of wood or stone to their right on the ground.

Great look overall.

pham free parking on the weekends...I go to SoHo park on the street for free, than take the subway around. During the week...hmm kinda screwed. I have accounts in Jersey city and they charge the same. About $22.00 for 10 hours. What you would save in parking (maybe) .....you would pay in transit fees.

Was asked to shoot a fashion show tonight. Not sure what to expect or what (lights) to take. I have never shot a fashion runway. I have 3 ab800s, softbox, bd ... Hmm any suggestions.

Runway fashion shows are bright enough to shoot without a flash. But if ever you need one, a speedlight will be fine.

No strobes for runway shooting. Its all pretty much done on ambient lighting. If you need one, a small flash at low power on camera is sometimes allowed.
