I spy bananas and Columbian flag... is this a Columbian meal? Do tell what's involved here. Whats on the rice?

For the photo, I think lighting is too flat with the BD directly overhead.

I dialed the power slider down on one of the AlienBees, and I did my usual hit the test button to dump the caps.....and it sat there blinking back and forth between green and red, about once every second or two.

Plugged into a vagabond or some other lower than usual voltage source?
Had the CC or RP JRx plugged into RJ11 port?

No. Plugged into the wall outlet. Had a PW TT5 plugged in, which is typical in my set up.

I have sent an email to PCB asking about it....whether to send it back or just watch it. I'll let you all know what they say.

All well and good George, but I wouldn't do that. Even if it never happens again, why mess around. Maybe I'm different but if I'm experiencing an intermittent then I want a replacement. You never know when or if it will happen and since you don't know what's wrong I wouldn't feel comfortable trusting the unit to perform reliably when I had to count on it. What if it never does it again and then does it after you're out of warranty. You'll be kicking yourself. :D

So I just placed an order with PCB for my first round of location studio lighting and they told me (just like everybody else) that the PLM won't ship until sometime next month. I'm hoping I get to be counted in with the folks who had theirs shipped a couple days later surprisingly. I'm gonna feel naked without it, I know it.

Yeah, good points Rob. At this point, they are either going to have to send me another one proir to me sending this back, or it's gonna have to wait. I'm about to get busy with several shoots in the next few weeks. All of a sudden, the senior high girls have "remembered"....oh, it's springtime....I graduate in May....I need photos !
