^Nice shot, Pham!

Brain - Yours is awesome, too! People crack me up asking for set-up shots... You can see where the light is coming from in the photo very clearly... The rest is just camera settings, really...

just sweet shot guys!

Question.....I plan on using my BD with vega bond for soccer portraits. Do you think that i will have enough battery to shoot 30 individuals and 2 group shots? It will be about 3 ish in the afternoon so just enough fill light is needed.
thanks

Dammit, pham... you've got the talent for making an Indiana sunset a hell of a lot more interesting than it really is.

I really like this photo because I feel like the amount of flash used feels smooth and balanced. I'm not a big fan of the sunsets with the really bright foreground subjects. She compliments the sunset and is not overbearing.

Its the quality of light that I like on her! Pham was that just a straight PLM 64 white or silver and did you use any of the modifiers?

thanks guys..

it was the PLM 64 with the black back and silver inside, with the white front diffuser on it.. i always shoot with the front diffuser on

the 64 is the perfect size.. the 86 is just too big to mess around with unless you have inside in a studio, which i don't have.. so the 64 is the mod i go to every time i want quality light..

anybody else like their 64?

Okay so my Vagabond came in!!!

Now it's been on the charger for a while.

When I first received it, the green light was already on, I'm just wondering if that's normal?
Also, now the red light is still on, and the green light is blinking really fast.

I read the 'manual' that came with it and I don't recall anything of that sort.

Nevermind, I think I found it:

LED Red means that the VBC is charging the battery using current-

regulated output

LED Flashing Green and/or Red means that the battery is almost fully

charged, and that the VBC charger is periodically checking the

battery voltage

LED Green means that the battery is fully charged, and the VBC is

maintaining the battery using the trickle charge mode, operating

with voltage-regulated output.
