would i need any special kind of power inverter for my B800? I've got a black and decker on that just hooks up to a car battery and sub pump battery and i'm curious if that would work.

You need one that puts out power in a pure sine wave. Most inexpensive ones dont. I'm not sure about yours but unless you are certain I wouldnt hook it up.

i checked and mine puts out a modified sine wave.

I was just looking for a temporary power source for outdoors shoots, but looks like renting a VBII for now.

Hahaha! Ya, and to make matters worse, the first shot I took, I forgot it was on full power. I was only like 3 feet away when that happened and the ring was blinding my vision for a good 5 minutes, lol.

Did a few headshots for Kat who is an aspiring actress/model. Shot with B800 in Octa and another gridded B800 for hair light. Any C&C appreciated as I am fairly new to studio lighting. Thanks!

Basic headshot of my best friend, still learning with my new B800s.

B800 camera right with reflective brella
B800 lighting backdrop (thus uneven background)
580ex with shootthrough camera left

lots of lightwrap because I don't have anything shielding subject from backlight.
