owls from the weekend

realize now I need to use fill flash on these, the eye's just are not clear enough

The first and third are my favs but all are good. Love the red berries, woodpecker holes and the sleepy eyes of the third shot.

Actually all are great, but I just love #3 with the pop of red berries. How do you get get these kind of shots?

thanks everyone

I went to a photo workshop at a local nature center, they designed the props and then had the birds put into them for us to take shots, they had a handler per bird so they did a tremendous job of keeping them safe / happy

I could never find an owl in the wild let alone capture a shot like this lol

I think someone got a little to close and it made a hissing noise at them, they quickly backed up :D

Excellent shots . You shouldnt have said anything people would have thought that you were the Owl Whisperer.:D I am also signed up for such a shoot in March and I hope to get some half as good as these.
