These shots are from the Tier 1 event at Teretonga - the most southerly tarmac race track in the world (or so I'm told).

The rain comment comes from Saturday at Teretonga and remember it is mid summer down here. The heavens opened and the Toyota Racing Seriews race that was underway (Single Seaters) had to be red flagged because race control could not see the cars.

So much rain was dropped in those 20 minutes that the fire brigade had to pump the water from the pit lane by sucking it through the engines pump and powering two high pressure hoses to dump the water elsewhere.

Enough already .... here are the images - As always CC is welcomed - There is so much motorsport on in NZ through late December and January that there is always the chance you might get a little stale, hence the B&W and post processing.

1. The rain put such a delay in the schedule that the Porshe GT3 race finished in almost dark .. there was just the hint of a glowing brake disk (but I didn't get that shot)

Dave, I normally don't go for these 'tilted at a wierd angle shots', but there's something about #3 that I really like.

Cheers,

Simon.

I like the last shot, though suspect it would work really well in pure black and white,or full colour.

I like them! The processing on two really suits the image, and 5 is a good portrait. Personally I would prefer it if 3 didn't have quite as much of a tilt, but it does look dynamic as it is.
