Hi guys... again
Last time I run out of space for few more photos from women FIS World cup races in Maribor, Slovenia. Since I promised those photos a bit later, this "a bit later" finally came
There's nothing much to say about these races... Course was extremely icy, and on top of that snow was just artificial snow, which, with "a bit" of help from -15c cold, and water injections, turned into crazy mixture of dry and sticky snow and pure ice. I actually like skiing on ice like this, but sliding down the course was really crazy. There's really little place on side of course, so when going to desired gates, you can't really ski, but we just slide down on side of course. Anyway... it was for first time, I actually felt uncomfortable being on skis. Skis were sliding for few meters, and then just sticked to dry snow, so it was something I didn't really like. But I survived
Anyway... photos I guess
Anja Paerson of Sweden skiing in first run of Maribor women giant slalom
Chelsea Marshall of USA skiing in first run of Maribor women giant slalom race
Fifth placed after first run Tanja Poutiainen of Finland skiing in first run of Maribor women GS race
Tanja Poutiainen of Finland skiing in first run of Maribor women slalom race
Leader after first run Maria Riesch of Germany skiing in first run of Maribor women slalom race
Anja Blieninger of Germany skiing in first run of Maribor women slalom
Third placed Tanja Poutiainen of Finland reacts in finish of second run of Maribor Golden Fox Trophy women slalom race
After Maribor came Zauchensee in Austria, with speed weekend. But more about this, some other time
All I will say now is, that it was real fun.Now I have free weekend, since I'm skipping women races in Cortina and/or men races in Kitzbuhel, but it all starts again on Tuesday with Schladming's men night slalom, and extended weekend in Garmisch Partenkirchen in Germany with both men and women races.
For now I just hope weather will get a bit better, so I can actually get some skiing, and not just shooting skiing
But with current info, my favorite skiing place "near" home will be obviously open till August
They just got another meter of snow last night... on 3.5m of existing snow
But that also means, tracks are too soft for my taste. I want hard packed snow or even ice
That's fun for skiing, especially because in conditions like that, smart people stay at home, and there's only few crazy people on courses
Anyway... as always all kinds of comments are welcome and appreciated, so don't be scared... I don't bite... most of time :P
Take care,
primoz

After that, I went to clean my sensor
