Having spent most of my career working in state and federal government positions, I'm pretty tuned in to the significance of the breakthrough. It often takes a ton of small victories to get even remotely close to where you need to be...but a victory is always a step in the right direction! :D

Every additional chance we get to be heard helps. :D

Wow...I hadn't heard the part about Canon enabling RAW on it prior to this morning. Supposedly that is the delay in release to the US...the US models will all come from the factory RAW enabled. Only previous RAW talk I had heard was someone asking if anyone was working on a crack.

DPReview broke it a week ago. Reported to us here since I don't have time to visit any camera forums except here and the Domke forums that Tiffen runs.

Oh yeah :) I never thought I'd say this... (as I couldn't justify the outlay to go from a 5D to a 5DII), but... I must say... for the following points alone, it was worth it.

LV
LV w/ Video
21MP (omg cropability)
AU$4500 premium to go to a 2nd hand 1DsIII
Noise control

But yeah... am yet to give it a real good go, and only boring shots (as the below pic of the xbox wheel) to show for it (busy with work :( )

I thought it was ok for LV and ISO3200 :)

On a side note, I did sell my 24L. I bought it for $1000 and just sold it for $1475. :D so I'm feeling pretty happy with that :)

Take some photos of Jessica and come back here to post 'em! I'm sure she's grown since last we saw her.

Thanks. Will do, and yeah she has grown. :) Here's a screenshot of a photo i took of her... it was more for the friends who gave her the ball for her birthday. She was running around like a madman kicking and throwing the ball so she's a bit blurry :)

Moooo all

On my 15 minute break from business calculus, class is turning my brain to mush today.

Big brown delivered my replacement eyecup today though! Is it bad that I'm really excited to put it on when I get back tonight?
