Here's an interesting article in Lake Eyre in the centre of Oz. It's filling up for the first time in years.

wow, last time I read about this lake was in an Arthur Upfield book. Interesting to see it IRL! It's so weird too because it's almost identical circumstances to what I read...how bizarre...

The sad part of the this is that now days for this to happen people in far north Queensland have to get flooded and the flood waters move on down through the state.

Be interesting so see if any of the super keen Aussie Bird Photogs get out there.

I just read that danish scientists has been the first to send data over network at 1000 gigabit! The old worldrecord was 640 gigabit. Wow.

Cable or DSL? (also depending on many other factors, but just thought I'd ask a quick Q).

Not to take away from their achievement but I will only be impressed the day that so-called "carrier grade" routers actually live up to their 200K hour and 99.999% (ALL components inclusive) uptime billing.

We crash the best of the best on a weekly basis - and guess who spends their days cleaning up..... :p

Yup. I was going for that whole "beating the hollow log with an mammoth bone", but ever since I picked up SmokSig ver. 2.1, I've never looked back.

The upgrades were worth it. You now have the option of what kind of wood you use, the igniter is faster and the signaling rug is more durable. I'm really impressed. I'm still waiting for them to work out the bugs in the Flashing Light Beta version. That looks pretty neato, too.
