Speaking of posturing, this should put to rest any doubt about 'maximum enlargement size' in the equipment forums.

This guy apparently shot a billboard with a 5DMk2. I wish he'd done it with a Mk1, so we can end the carping, but I suppose the Mk2 is sexier from Canon's public relations perspective.. it helps 'sell' their 21MP.

The site gives the banner's dimensions at 9.3m x 5.8m.. that's nearly 30 feet x 20 feet.

Not bad for a "non-1-series." Though I don't imagine I will need that many pixels or a print of that size any time soon..

Hmm, that got me thinking. If with half the MP (approx) on my 5D classic, I can print something that is 15 feet x 10 feet, that would already be impossible to hang indoors in a normal-sized house. Unless you are thinking of replacing wall paint with wallpaper. And even then it would have to be landscape format (15 across) as most ceilings aren't 5 meters tall.
