Just for fun I calculated what it would cost to ship it to San Diego... $638 and change.

For $500 I'll drive to NY, pick it up in person and hand deliver it to you.

Do any of you find this a bit pricey for a lens case?

Definitely needs a free lens to go with the case.

Hmm first time I've seen a refurb unit on sale. It mocks me, it mocks me.

You know, sometimes, having a strong sense of fiscal responsibility sucks. It stops you from simply screaming "JUST DO IT" and pushing the button on this lens. :( (because I can't really afford it - or at least, it's too much of a stretch to be reasonable)

Would you rather be responsible, or irresponsible?

:P

The good thing is that I never raised the limit on my credit card. The limit's deliberately kept low - and low enough that it will bounce when I check out ;)

Also, I would rather buy the Cat's Meow locally. For the amount of $ I am paying for it, I would want to inspect beforehand and I know a couple of camera dealers who would be extremely happy to see me and help with that request if I was serious about buying.

Hahaha.. I might not even need to raise the limit. When buying in person, I could simply swipe on 2 cards or give him a check for the balance :p

The good thing is that the local camera rental shops don't yet have this. I just checked!

I'm getting the 135L to stand-in for the Cat's Meow but I don't know how much longer it can stand before I get tempted :p

You'll be seeing flowers from here too Wool, but few with nicer light than you found on this one!

I don't know anything about the 200L f2. Other than the one stop, what advantages does it have over the 200L f2.8 that make it worth an extra 4 grand?
