Windows 7 preview is out again next week, I hear.

Hmmmm.... why does it suddenly pique my interest? For years I have greeted every Windows release with profound misgivings, not enthusiasm. Yet strangely, I am kinda enthusiastic about this one.

'Cuz it's not Vista?

No, public holiday here in Qld today for Labor Day. Yeah for days off.

Off to shoot some Volleyball (indoor) later this morning - very challenging sport to shoot.

I have a few shots of 600 series engines....they are in far better shape...I've seen a couple of the 800s when I didn't have the camera with me and they looked very much like those previous shots.

Very long time, no mooooo, all.

I come to you with TMS on the brain. I've been working very hard for some time on educational issues, and had some significant victories.

Now, I'm trying to decide if a 70-200 f/2.8 IS ought to be my reward. I've been so out of touch that I didn't even know rebates were rumored, so when I happened to go to Amazon today to look for something for one of my sons, and found one in my "Gold Box" for $1430 and change, I thought something must have been wrong. I've considered trading up from the f/4 for quite a while, but thought the $1700 that's it's been running to have been too steep. And now. . .:confused::confused:

Howdy long time no Mooooooooooooooo David.....

The 70-200 f/2.8 IS remains one of my all time favorite lenses. The f/4 is nice because of the weight...but there is some magic in the f/2.8....$1430 sounds like one heck of a good price. I think I paid $1500 for mine.

I'm weakening. . . ;)

The f/4 served well this weekend, but the weather was lousy and I actually put it away because the showers were turning into rain. :( Still got a few shots of Opening Day. :D
