Some great pictures this morning while I'm enjoying my coffee.

Love that 2nd one Gary, and that first lightning shot Jay!

Thanks to everyone, about the lightning pictures.

I would have had more but the homemade N3 connector just wasnt working out too well. So last night I ordered a couple cheap knock-off remotes, for the N3 connector.

That second one is hysterical Greg. Guess the latch on his magazine failed?

Ya know, a paintball magazine would probably pay quite well for that shot.

Just sayin :)

Thanks for the kind words. i have had a photo in paintball sports magazine i should offer this to them. paintball magazines are not fans of paying though. i am going to try to sell some photos from my trip to japan on the 22nd though.

The 1D MkIV has been spotted in the field. No photos though.

Furthermore, there seems to be a little bit of credibility to this.

Whether or not the 'sighting' is real (it could be), I wonder if this is going to be the camera that restores my faith in the 1-series...or whether they will just throw it away again and I'll forever be a follower of the 5D :)

Certainly the 1D series is due for an upgrade in the near future...at least in terms of the update cycle. Look for high ISO refinements, improved focus and maybe 18mp.

I hope so ;)

High ISO is practically a given now that the 5D2 and the Nik D700 have paved the way. As is more megapixels. But really I would love a 1D4 with the best of all worlds - my 5D's AF performance in the dark with the 1D's AF performance in the day.
