Hey Riley!

Are you getting re-acclimated to the Boring life? :D

Happy Birthday! Big 21 today!

Thanks, I am looking forward to a really good beer, the stuff I had in Spain was decent at best, but nothing thrilling.

Well I averaged a little over 10 hours a day of work on the farm this week, so I suppose so :).

I was down at the swap meet in Brooks yesterday, so I have been "re-culturalized."

Not a whole lot here either. Just going for a run and I might do some more reading for fun.

Its my birthday, but mum is in Australia so we aren't doing a whole lot. Probably just going to a brew pub where I can get some nice beer.

Whoa!!

You are no long the age of minority? Congratulations, Riley. You're now 'one of us.' First thing you know, you're going to wake up with sore knees.

Have fun.

Thanks Chief

Ditto, great shots. I love the two foggy ones but they are really nice shots and it's hard to choose a fav.

Thanks

Photos from yesterday...

It was damn rainy at times, was like this for probably 1hr in total... (1/800 shutterspeed!)

I love weather like that for some reason...

Nice shots Greg....the fog in the valley is one of my favorite things to try and get here. I just hate having to drive through it to get above it. The falls looked pretty good, but I see what you meant about the mud. I was a bit surprised it was that visible.

Thanks Dan, I missed driving through all but the briefest bit of fog on the way up the mountains.

Hmm, opportunity knocks and I may end up doing sports shooting, of all things.

I never imagined... and my rig is so totally not set up for that. FF is for events, not for sports. Although one can indeed one-shot-one-kill with the 5D.

But I suppose we will just wing it with the 40D. No worse off than the rest of the volunteers on the team. (yes I donate my time and what meagre photo skills I have, to an organization of my choice.)

I'd stick with what you have for now and see how it pans out.

MOOO ALL. Just stopping in for a few minutes while I digest breakfast before going for my run.

What is everyone up to?

Happy Birthday, ooooh, 21 today, 21 today.....

Congratulations.

Can I sneak this one in?

Brisbane City is about 100km in the distance. You can't really see it in the shot but it was visible on the day. The mountains are the Glass House Mountains and are the remnants of volcanoes. 9 shot stitch, I want to go back up to this location for a sunrise shot and I'd also redo this with a longer lens than my 24-105 @24. I think a 70-200 would be much better, you'd see a lot more detail in the mountains.

Still a neat shot. I am starting to get more interested in doing panos.

Thanks, I'm finally doing more scenic shots this year. I think the trick has been a to align myself with a group of friends who want to to the same thing. I'm finding I'm more likely to join a group event than traipse off on my own.

I found a nice red ale that I hadn't had before.
