We had some nice clouds yesterday so I decided to give this tower another try. Now I'm not so sure...do you think the clouds are too much?

Nice pic. Not sure what you could do to make it better. It's pretty darn good the way it is. I don't think the clouds are too much at all. Adds a bit of drama to the pic.

I think to make it better you should recompose to include some interesting foreground elements.

Right now, to me, it's not balanced enough. You should try going closer to the near rocks on the beach, get down low, shoot up and show the detail in the rocks, as well as the background - with the tower.

Other than that, the editing style is kind of neat.

Go again when there is lightning and hope you snap a bolt in the left.

Actually I can't explain the EXIF. Since this is an HDR composite of 3 shots, why does the EXIF show one shutter speed? Beats me! The 3 shots were @ f/8, ISO 100, and 1/500-125-30.

Hehe, lightning on a SoCal beach, we should get that lucky!

How's a bird and some waves instead? I went back through my files and found a set I actually like a lot better. Here's the result:
