Done! Monitor is currently listed on Dell.com for $279. I got it bundled with a new desktop system and the monitor cost me $189. Can't wait to get it all and get working again. My photo editing system died on me.

Sales person was super helpful and applied discounts I didn't know were available.

If anyone needs a useful person at dell you can try:

OK so forget the guy I worked with. I just got my monitor and what they sold/shipped me was the Ultra Sharp 2208WFP which I read on here is a piece of *&@^! vmad

Now I have to deal with Dell and get this fixed instead of getting back to editing...

That sucks. Mine is sitting here in the box waiting for it's new PC, scheduled to arrive on Monday...I have not taken it out yet, but I did just go look at the model number to confirm it is a 2209WA

It looks like I've either got a stuck or hot pixel. I can't decide if its white or light blue. I've been running the java flashy screen things on it for a while with no difference so far. Is one stuck pixel enough to justify an exchange?

With Dell, I would send it back for sure. That's not acceptable in this day and age.
I had a red stuck pixel show up on my 3 yo 2007FPW last month, and tried all the flashy screen things, massaging the screen and nothing worked. After a couple weeks though, it disappeared.

I emailed Destinee. Hopefully she doesn't think I'm a crackpot. I've never had luck fixing stuck pixels. I had a laptop with the same thing it was for sure stuck because it was red. This one like I said, could be stuck or hot.

Thanks, the M-Audios are sweet. I went to Guitar Center and tried them out next to a few comparable models and these just shined [especially for the price]..

Just kidding, I had just moved in to my new apartment. Here it is in a more permanent setting.

I had to ditch my tablet to make room for it, but that thing is too big anyway.

That's awesome!!! I remember those days.

I just got off the phone with Destinee and ordered a 2209WA. Now I have to work on returning the 2208FP they sold me the first time.

FYI, Desitee told me that the current pricing of $212 is going to end at the end of April. It will go back up to the regular price of $279 or something like that in May.

Are people having problems like hot/stuck pixels or no more than usual with any other monitor? Any cause for concern?

Hmm.. if that's true, I should pick up another one soon. Sitting side by side it puts my samsung to shame.

Btw, no problems here.
