I have no idea how this whole family tree works. Anyways, it's my cousins son, I think he's my 2nd cousin.

Comments and critiques appreciated. Cheers!

Cute little guy... and it's "first cousin, once removed" (your first cousin's son is one generation removed from you). Your second cousin would be when you share the same great-grandparents, but not the same grandparents.

See here if you're really curious:

I would crop a bit off the top, and maybe bring in a bit of fill on his right cheek. What lens did you use?

Ah thanks! I'm horrible at that stuff.

I used my Sigma 24-70 f/2.8. I'll have a look at the fill side of things. Thanks!

Good looking kid. It's a tad soft for my liking, but it's no biggie. And it's a shame the shadows hit his eyes like that. But, what can ya do. The use of colors is great. Good job!

And Nortelbert made me dizzy. Thanks. :P

Thanks for the critique. I actually processed it and added a soft glow to it. The original came out a tad sharper. I should revisit it and see if I can get that "glow" without making it look too soft. Ideas on how best to do this?

I have to agree with Grimlock. It's a little soft for me too. I think it's a cute shot and he's adorable but the pp is too much...his skin does not look real to me. I'm not sure how you would go about getting a glow w/o getting too soft. I hope someone can answer your question.

Thanks for the feedback Kauaicrazed (great name by the way, I'll be having my wedding this September in Kauai). I think I did overprocess it. I'll give it another go.

I'm personally in favor of the edit.

Great rework!
