fine by me i do have the "IMAGE EDITING OK" on =)

i like the PP but it would be much sweet with a 30mm 1.4 with a 5D ***dreaming***

I like the edit. Was the cross in the background supposed to be significant for the subject of the shot or just happened to be there? If there is significance, I think that having a little bit of depth of field in order for the cross to show would be appropriate. Otherwise, the edit is pretty good.

im assuming god is very important to him though, and therefore keeping the cross in might be better;)

How was the blurring done in post? Do you have to do some sophisticated selection or masking in photoshop? I have a few photos that I need to blur the background but don't really know where to start.

I was dying to try out this new plugin by Alien skin called Bokeh,it took about 20 seconds using the quick selection tool to isolate the subject from the background then I just applied one of the settings available in Alien skin's bokeh to the background.

I like the original picture posted much better, nicely done. It shows that not every image needs to be overloaded.
