You should not end a sentence with a preposition unless it is a question. Why is this crop bad to print with? EOS 5D II, 40D, Sony R1, Olympus 1030, Canon S5-IS.

He's probably referring to the resolution of a crop that small. Depends on the camera though, right? An image from a 5D2 could be very usable at that crop. When I was shooting with my Rebel XT, cropping that tight would restrict me to 4X6 and 5X7 prints. My YouTube Vlog: https://www.youtube.com/c/GarageFlips

Still not great - had to leave the flower too close to the center vertically in order to get a couple lit leaf details I liked at the bottom. - Tony 5D and too much glass. Mamiya 645E.

Jan 24, 2009 18:15 | #9 PGsmyth: I agree with you about not being certain or going back and forth. I like the original but I think about all of the "rules" of photoagraphy, and say "what would I change?" Then, I don't like any of the crops I tried and say the original is better. Sometimes, there are images that look good even though you didn't fallow the "rules". I think this is one of the images that are nice they way they are. My vote is for the original. Ultimately, your opinion is the only one that matters.
