I'm new to macro and am testing the waters with a set of Kenko tubes. If it goes well and I end up liking it I'll upgrade to a real macro lens. For now a 50mm with the tubes seems pretty good. Here's a coffee bean I shot while practicing my focusing. This is going to take some getting used to!
I have a 430EX and just bounced it off a piece of white paper (since the bean was about 2 inches in front of the glass. I think it worked well, but need to work on lighting.
Any thoughts? Other ideas for things to shoot in winter?
thanks for looking!
