This probably won't be too helpful but if I was this frustrated with my equipment, I believe I would send it to Canon for a checkup.
Or sell it and try something else.
Might not be that easy in Romania.

It looks to me that the building taken with the Canon the focus is on the roof of the building closest to the camera. So it makes sense that the building would be OOF. JBF

It does sound like it's a camera issue, since both lenses are having the problem, and yes, focusing a lens to the max is beyond infinity so should not be displaying these symtoms at infinity. AF should stop at infinity. Tony
