Well, while I still have lots more bird images, in an effort to avoid pure boredom by repetition, this will be the last post of bird images from my Guyana trip. I still will post at least once more with some more Giant Otter photos, and maybe some other critters as well.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them. Comments, disparaging remarks, and advice are, as always, welcome ;)

= Ed =

Adolescent Jabiru Storks. When they are mature, the lower half of the neck area will turn fully bright red, and the "peach fuzz" on the top/back of their heads will disappear. Sadly, the only shots I got of an adult were not worth posting.

Kiskadees. I believe that these are Lesser Kiskadees.

Female Yellow Oriole. I posted a photo of a male in an earlier post.

Crested Caracaras

And finally a couple more Black Collared Hawks. I believe that the 2nd one is an adolescent.

These are fabulous.........
My burning question is, how do you get to upload 9 images on one post? When I go to post, it only allows for 2 images????

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Thank you Steve, Maureen, Frank and Tommy. I really appreciate the kind comments.

Maureen, I think Frank answered that as well as I could. I will point out that the reason my images probably load so slowly is that I host my own server. It's a plenty fast machine, it's just that my ADSL connection (out here in the boodocks where I live) is limited to 128K baud upload, so that's the limiting factor. Hopefully we will get increased bandwidth sometime in the next couple of years.

Excellent shots! I love the one in flight I'm amazed at the quality of these, they're excellent. What equiptment did you use?

Thanks for the kind words Sue. I was using a Canon 20D. All but images 4, 5, and 6 were taken from a boat using my 70-200 f/2.8L IS lens with the 1.4EX II extender. I wish I had taken a longer IS-capable lens along as that would have made everything so much easier, and made for much better images as better than 90% of the photos I took were from the boat.

Image 4 was taken with my 400mm f/5.6L from land, as were 5 & 6, except that they also used the 1.4EX II as well.

I hope this answers your questions. :)
