The warranty card for my 100 2.8 Macro says EF-M 100/2.8U LC LH as the model. I was wondering what those other letters meant (M, U, LC, LH). I'm thinking that the M stands for macro and the U stands for USM, but I don't know what the other letters mean. Just curious.

Thanks

The 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM doesn't come with the Lens Hood.

That's why it doesn't make much sense. ;)

M is macro.

U is USM.

LC is...uh, yeah...

LH stands for left handed. It's fine if you are, but if your right handed, you'll want the EF-M 100/2.8U LC RH. ;)

That's cool! I wish they did that here in the states. I guess they want to make money on those types of things here :|.

Well - maybe LC = lens case (if not cap) and LH = lens hood makes sense after all!

Sounds good to me! Either lens case or cap, and lens hood.

Certainly better than my left handed/right handed theory. ;)
