I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a significant quality difference in putting the cameras image quality setting from RAW to sRAW.

Having a 4gb card, I figure I can get about 200 or more shots on it if I go sRaw, but if it will hurt image quality then why risk it.

IQ of sRAW is excellent, but you loose half the pixels. Everyone is different, but if I care about space, I'd rather shoot JPGs vs sRAW. The JPGs are less than half the size of sRAW, but keep all the pixels. The tradeoff is less PP flexibility, not as much an issue if you can the camera setting right.

I think the quality will be the same but the image will be smaller. You should just try it out. If you are happy then it is good enough :)

Image quality is fine - just smaller files with less pixels (varies depending on model)
Personally I'd just get a new card or two and shoot in raw (full size)

I shoot sports for a newspaper and shoot in sRAW1 ... seems to be less noise in low lights venues and I still have all of the advantages of two stops of correction... if I don't nail the exposure. Some of my shots have been blown up to 8X10 or larger in the paper and detail is still excellent. If you are printing 8X10 wedding shots or larger ... your mileage may vary!
