Just over 50 years ago Mike Hawthorn, the 1958 Forumla One World Champion was killed in a road accident on the A3 at Guildford, Surrey.
To mark the 50th anniversary of his death, in Farnham, where Mike lived and owned the Tourist Trophy garage a Memorial Service was held in the local church, a parade of some cars related to his life and finally wreath laying at the local cemetery where his is buried.
The event attracted several past champions and drivers including Stirling Moss and Damon Hill.
As you can see the weather was wet and grey. So onto a selection of pictures:
1 - Not every day you see a collection of racing cars on the towns street. Especially a period F1 Ferrari.
