Hey,

Snagged one on ebay. They're rumored to be quite good performers - especially the DS-M coated ones. I'll be posting a full review when it arrives, the 5D is a tough mistress and will show up any impurities quicksmart!!

Condyk/Argyle if they're around - anyone poked with this lens?

L

The yashinon normal lenses have quite a good reputation, don't know that much about their wide angles but I tried a Yashica distagon clone once and it was rather good.

Yashica/Yashinon lenses are know for poor QC = great variability. Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes.....

Like the 50L then :p

All will be revealed - it's more an experiment than anything. They were owned by Zeiss, so we'll see what's afoot

Lens is here, now just twiddling fingers for the adapter. Looks in great shape, coating and all. Just held it open in front of the 5D and all seems good!
