went on an outing with a few local POTN'ers today with dinanm3atl as our tour guide :) we managed to stop by a little skate shoot which was pretty interesting. Never shot something like this before, but hey there's a first for everything right :)

What settings did you use. And what did you do in post processing. I am interested in knowing because I want to achieve this look taking photos at my local skate park.

I have two layers, one that I have converted to duotone (image > mode > duotone) using pantone colors. Then convert the image back to RGB and overlay a colored layer above it. Play around after that to get it where you want.

I see that option on photoshop but it will not allow me to select it. Do you know why by any chance.

Grayscale the image first, then Duotone.

These are sick, the only thing i would suggest is getting rid of the lurkers in 2 and 5

Now that is what i'm talking about!!

this is making me miss rollerblading so much! I did that stuff for over half my life. I'll get back into it in the spring.

ferry101 - thanks, when i was cropping some of them, i was torn between leaving the background person in, but i felt like it added more to the picture. who knows, guess it goes both ways lol.

genuinerolla - haha, i have a lot of respect for people that skate and make it look so easy. thanks :)
