Our thoughts go out to the family and friends. gjl711 wrote in post #7238175 How sad.. I've known a few families through the years that have had loved ones pass at home, sometimes naturally but sometimes not. It's never easy when the passing is self inflicted especially for the ones who discover the event. I wish the poor family well during this difficult time. FuryMe wrote in post #7238247 That is sad Di. My good thoughts go out to them. Thanks guys. The sister apparently hasn't slept much in a week, and when she has, its been in the arms of her male friends...they've completely surrounded her, which I think is pretty amazing for "popular" teenage boys...especially when the boy really was not popular. One of my friends that we recently lost was an elementary school art teacher in a city with much poverty and strife. His family was asked to come to an assembly last week where all of the children, almost 600 in total, participated in an assembly for the family. They performed, read poems they wrote for him and told stories and tributes of him. Each child had written the family a note expressing their feelings and all of the children wore his favorite color. while only having been in the school for three years the board of ed voted unanimously to give him tenure so that his family would have his benefits. Then their neighbors all took up a collection and had a new roof put on their house! Around here new roofs go about 8-10k without having to remove the one that is already there. Oh man. That is neat that so much good and love can come from such a tragedy. I wish the family that you know peace as well. Blog

BeckyN "full of baloney" More info | Here is the thing, when I get flowers at work, I leave them at my office until the weekend so I can enjoy them during the day. So unless I remember to bring in my camera, they may be droopy by the time I take them home in 5 days. DoodleBunz wrote in post #7238070 Today is a sad day here for an awful lot of folks. So sad and so tough on the family. Prayers are going out. Thanks, I should still make you catch up, but; will tell you - 18. gjl711 wrote in post #7238110 I wish the Illinois Tollway Authority would raise the bar for just one day and let everyone pass through for free. (try being the optimum word) ![]() My brother has a Nikon D70 and purchased a Nikkor 50mm F1.8AF. Does this lens auto focus? Doesn't the AF stand for auto focus? We strapped it on and the center AF point glows, but it never focuses.
