The girl's name was Brenda Spencer. She was a 16 year old that shot up the elementary school across the street from her house, killing two people. In San Diego... I remember it well as it occurred just a mile from where I was living at the time. She pled guilty and is still serving time in California State Prison. The incident took place January 29, 1979, just 30 years ago.

That's pretty crazy!

Zaney, I typed before coffee...I meant to say with noses a crunch is usually a break. GAH
I don't know what I was typing I swear. My Tif had to have her nose reconstructed after running into a boy's head so I'm pretty familiar...

Good luck with that! I have to explain direct object pronouns and the difference between the preterite and imperfect.

OK, you win.

And it's not that bad, just a bad morning. I did get to post up my waterfall pics though. That was fun.

When did you take the winter shot? Looks quite different than it did on Saturday. I'll have to remember to get there sometime in the spring/summer, it is a lovely little fall.

What a day, one more spreadsheet to balance out and the compensation is done. Then on to month-end, after getting price files ready to upload so they can be switched when I leave on Friday. This is going to be a looooooooonnnnnnnnng week.

A word of caution here. Lonnie, Chris, Lisa and myself have not been the same since meeting Cat....
....we are all much better because of it. :D

You forgot Minnie... ;)

Speaking of the devil, Minnie winked at me while we were riding in the back seat of the Kit/Wademobile in Zion National Park: LINKY (external link)

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Crissa, great shots! I LOL'd at the one where your nephew's head is being held in place

I forget how old she was....2nd or 3rd grade I think. Anyway she was running across the playground to say hello to a favorite teacher (I think) and a boy was running across at cross paths...because the bell had rung (she'll probably come on and correct this all). Anyway, they crashed ...Tif led with her nose......the school called us. We only had one car so Dan had to come home from work to pick her up. He took her to the doctor and I stayed home with Gus. (who was very young)....Anyway at the doctor, they told him that she'd need immediate surgery...bone chips everywhere...so what does he do? He NEVER CALLS ME...he had meant to pick up some oil for the car so he stops at the car place picks up the oil, takes her to the hospital...WAITS TIL SHE'S IN SURGERY and then called me. Didn't come get me...nothing.

He did not realize that not letting a mother see her child before emergency surgery could have cost him his marriage let alone his life.:lol: They had to completely reconstruct the one side of her nose and she's fine.

A friend took me to the hospital and I was there when she woke up.
