I just threw up in my mouth a little. Really? So what comes of your city? Do they keep the whole tourist thing going and pretend it is made there or are they shutting down? Leyla goes up there a couple times a year for conferences.

I would presume they'll keep on pretending....there's already been a LOT of jobs lost from the 2 Hershey and 1 Reese's plants in Hershey...they're weeding people out like crazy and not replacing retirees. It sucks. But they just built a new museum, so I'm assuming they'll continue to prey on unsuspecting tourists....of which there's usually plenty.

:lol:Awww hang in there Crissa. I wouldn't say you have to go to a breeder but there are a lot of cats put up for adoption that are on the wild side. It is some of the "rescue" groups that make people have thoughts like that. I hate it when they trap perfectly healthy strays then try to adopt them out as house cats. I understand yours, and the hoarder situation, may have been more of a real rescue. You are a smart person with common sense and some cat experience so you are in a different situation but I think of the poor kid or family suckered into taking wild strays and getting disappointed, convinced taking in rescues is bad, or turned off from pets all together.. It is kind of sad to me.
There is a lady around this area that will "rescue" urban strays and she solicits horse people and farm owners to take them as barn cats. I think it is a great idea but some are opposed because they can't stand the idea of an animal living outdoors in a natural environment.
My friend occasionally catches strays and has them "fixed" before releasing them again.

We actually have a trap and neuter/spay thing here at our complex which had a bad feral problem. They trapped as many as they could, brought a mobile home converted to a mini hospital in and chopped things out and off and set them back and now we have a very controlled population of about 17 adult cats that don't procreate and lots of people feed.

My cats are still a challenge, I am most wary of the boy who continues to lash out at Eli when he walks past the cage.

Lol funny video. That's great about the cats in your complex. They really can over populate fast.
