Howdy everyone.

A co-worker just emailed me, turns out one of my photos on flickr was chosen by a local online blog for photo of the day. http://www.weeklyvolcano.typepad.com/spew/ (external link)

I thought that was pretty cool :)

Hi Kody that is neat. Is this something you signed up for or agreed with flicker? Did the site contact you or do they just troll fliker for images to grab?

How did your processing go last weekend? I thought about uploading those last Hawaii shots to my computer. But that's as far as I got.

Well, I've finished Ireland (I've posted the last ones yesterday) and have been able to start catching up on the rest. Still lots to do though...

Oh good to hear. ((((((Mark))))))))

A wee claim to fame for Jasper. His great uncle (grandpa's brother) just won the best in breed at the Westminster Dog Show.

How cool! Congratulations. :D

Heh.. On a walk yesterday Christopher met a very nice White Lab puppy named ... get this.... Maggie

I thought about POTN.

Awww!

Guineh wrote in post #7294681 (external link)
Hehe... Christopher was so funny last night. We as a family went for a short walk. Someone appeared in the distance, walking a dog. Christopher immediately shouts out "Doggy!" and starts running full-tilt toward the dog walker.

2 things here:
1st, that is dangerous. You never know if that dog is used to little kids, or is prone to biting.
2nd, you NEED a dog. ;)

DDA wrote in post #7294715 (external link)
I know that some of you talked about cookies a few days ago? Has anyone a good recipe? I'd like to make some one day. If you think you've got the best recipe, feel free to PM it to me or post it

1 box of cake mix (any flavor) 1 tub of cool whip. Mix, roll in balls, roll in powdered sugar, cook on 350 for about 10 minutes.

short5 wrote in post #7294781 (external link)
Yup you need a dog. I have a connection in Utah, I think you know her.

LOL.

Guineh wrote in post #7294853 (external link)
Same here. We're technically over the limit with 3 cats, besides, the novelty of a dog will wear off if we have one.

No it wouldn't. I've had dogs my whole life and I'm still crazy about them.

I brought a black widow home once. They are not common here so I was thrilled to find one in a nursery plant I had brought in from out of state. I put her in a cage and she birthed like 12 million babies the size of a period in the news paper.

You mean you are responsible for the entire Black Widow population of Maryland? HOCK!

Skrim17 wrote in post #7294998 (external link)
At the moment I understand why folks get cats at breeders!

Sorry to hear it's not going as smoothly as you'd hoped.
Cute video though... looks like they have fun with each other.

Crissa looks like they are playful~ on a personal note my mom had a cat she loved and cared for for yrs who turned on her he was a cat I didnt like it would Hiss at me and I love cats anyways she ended up with about 12 stiches in her ankle and 40 some odd punctures ..it WAS LIKE A HORROR FILM ..BLOOD EVERYWHERE ...she was fine after she got stitched up but the cat wasn't ok ..My point is just like humans you can come across not so good ones

I had a cat who was the sweetest, most gentle thing. When he was about 6 or 7 years old, one day he went psycho. I was afraid to get anywhere near him because he was hissing and growling, baring his teeth, back arched, etc. Eventually I trapped him and took him to the vet. They gave him a checkup and couldn't find anything wrong. And, it never happened again. He was 14 years old when he died. I have no idea what got into him that one day.

...What abuse? The spleen is very popular around here....

Well there is some slpeen slapping going on, pulling the spleens finger, getting an underage spleen wasted. Thats pretty abusive in my book. I am seriously considering calling PANCRS the Pan American Network against Crulity and Roughness of Spleens. Yes, I will be watching.. A demonstration group is being assembled and can be deployerd at a moments notice.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

No but it was on the top floor of a house divided into rental units. I wonder what happened to the next tenants. I did my best to seal things but they were tiny and there were lots.
