No but it was on the top floor of a house divided into rental units. I wonder what happened to the next tenants. I did my best to seal things but they were tiny and there were lots.

Heh, reminds me of an episode of the Mythbusters where they mow down a tree with some incredibly fast machine gun. Given a couple minutes, nothing stood a chance against this thing! I watched in amazement as the gun literally sprayed casings all over the ground. So many bullet casings ....

It wasn't a German MG-42 by any chance? That gun could do up to 1800 rounds per minute.

I had a cat who was the sweetest, most gentle thing. When he was about 6 or 7 years old, one day he went psycho. I was afraid to get anywhere near him because he was hissing and growling, baring his teeth, back arched, etc. Eventually I trapped him and took him to the vet. They gave him a checkup and couldn't find anything wrong. And, it never happened again. He was 14 years old when he died. I have no idea what got into him that one day.

I've been convinced for years that cats can see things humans can't, kinda like the Ghost Whisperer. Perhaps he saw an earth-bound spirit that hadn't crossed over yet...

I was reading a book that said that you should teach your dog to deal with small amounts of frustration so that they don't freak out when they get majorly frustrated. So I've been teaching Kona the "wait" and "okay" thing....where he sits and I hold something he wants. And he has to wait until I say okay before he takes it. Yesterday he was all energy...just shaking & lunging because he wanted whatever it was so badly. Today when we worked on it, as soon as I said "wait" he would look at me instead of the item and then as soon as I said "okay" he would gently take it.

I wish he was this easy to train in the whole "no bite" thing.
Some things are just so smooth with him but not that.

okay my fav choc. chip cookie recipe for you D! and anyone else who would like to try it.

We have chips here called Guittards, but I am sure any will do.;)

Preheat oven to 375

Cream together until smooth: 1 cup butter softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 tsp vanilla

Beat and add: 2 eggs

Mix together and add gradually: 2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

Stir in: 1 package (2 cups) chocolite chips
1 cup nuts chopped (optional)

Drop batter by well rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8-10 minutes in moderate 375 oven
Makes 7-8 dozen (supposedly) :D

I also find that I need more flour than called for.

The bite think might be partly caused by teething as well. How old is he now?

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
