Hmmm... so I guess the "meteor" I saw today wasn't actually a meteor after all, but debris from a satellite crash. Interesting...

You guys will do fine Crissa. Have you done a test to see what kind of shutter speeds you can get? You may want a 50mm nearby for those creative shallow DOF cake pictures and such. They are fast which may help if it's dark.

Wow that sucks. All that money in the satellite lost....and I bet the DOD is going to help fund another one.

Or head for the ICF (external link) in Baraboo.

Yes, she could. It is a pretty neat place. We were there years ago.

A quickie Christopher Rant...

Does he turn 2 in May, Mike?

T.D. - I do like your picture. It looked a bit crooked to me too, straightening my laptop helped.;)

CAT - Glad you and Wadey Cakes had a nice anniversary and that you are feeling much better. Tell Amika that isn't very lady like.

This evening? (for some reason I thought the wedding was next weekend)

I can't wait to see the wedding pics!

It is next week Cat, I just met them there to check out the lighting and go over what shots they want.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #7332886 (external link)
Ok, question...

Wade got me 2 Rstraps, because I have 2 cameras. I couldn't figure out how to use 2 of them, so I gave him one.

Can you use 2? Should I snag it back from him?

yes

From the movie Young Frankenstien:

That explains why it went over my head. If I've ever watched the movie I sure don't remember it...

We just finished watching "Ghost Town".

It is a GREAT movie. Loved every minute of it.

Different spin on the "Ghost Whisperer" genre...

Thanks for reminding me. I need to do my taxes. I'd better hurry up and get that done before the postal rates go up again, so I can use these stamps I already have. Freakin' machine doesn't issue the "forever" stamps. Grrr!

We have a passle of those "forever" stamps. Considering the number of things we actually mail, they'll last us forever.

If you have a fear of heights, *DO NOT* click that link! Seriously! I'm warning you!!! (I only made it to about the two minute mark, but I was cringing the whole way to that point...)

Did you click on any of the links for Mt. Hua Shan in China? It makes Camino del Rey look like a super highway...

**** that! First who put the effort in, and why did they build a path along there? Second think of the poor guys framing and pouring the path:shock:. Third that is just plain stupid, like Russian roulette stupid, to be walking on portions of that unless there is something the video does not show.

Considering the path was built in 1905, I'm surprised it's in that good of a condition.

It won't last for more than another week before I go crazy. I usually do a winter beard for a few weeks right when it gets cold. Never have done a goat and I think the porn stache is out.

Once you get past the itchy phase, it's nice not to have to shave every day...

There is no Deja Vu. It's a glitch in the Matrix.

I ran into one of those yesterday. It caused my 40D to have an identity crisis. I wanted to change a setting and when I pushed the menu button, this is what I saw:
