It'll change in time.

Off to home.

Exciting news though: I got the unofficial request from the Junior class to do their prom pictures. No $$ up front but the potential to make a bunch. :D

Great news Tiff ..fingers crossed for bags of money :):):)

Thanks Deb. I'm actually shocked. I've pissed off a number of kids. Let's hope I make it through the vote.

Once can only hope. And, since it's a JUNIOR prom I'm hoping I can get some senior gigs out of it.

Well, there are two sides to the equation here. How do you know the problem is on the Toshiba side? 8)

:p

I suppose working for Toshiba support has colored my experience a bit.

Permagrin wrote in post #7205981 (external link)
I'm not shopping for a laptop but we had our last toshiba last for 3 years and then got a virus, we wiped the hd and now our daughter has it with no issues.

Hmm. My dad has gone through several of them, mostly monitor failures due to a flimsy screen support.

My wife's computer (a toshiba) was always a gamble to do anything important on. It would overheat and spontaneously shut down (of course, this started well after the warranty stopped)

The free samples we were given to work with when the company I was working for at the time was doing Toshiba support always seemed to suffer mysterious hardware failures. We had a huge call volume with them, and most ended in an RMA.

Just saying... Wife as a Dell notebook now and has been problem free for a couple years, now.

We have had very good luck with ours, including not having any major problems with Vista. But we have had some issues with the screen. I think I will check the warranty date when I get home.

I'm STOKED! I picked up a constant on light (TD5, that I've been wanting) off of fleabay. (it was a floor model from a camera store) complete with soft box/stand & lights!! It will nicely compliment my flash setup and I'm going to sell my elinchroms after all. WOO HOO!!

Someday I'll buy another one when I find a good deal but for now, I'm just happy to have finally acquired one.
