Yeah Chet the little boy I try to never pull away form but he's bitten me twice to the point of drawing blood so I am a little wary!

be careful, cat bites are some the most highly infections bites you can get. My doc prescribes antibiotics anytime I've ever had a cat bite...if it breaks the skin.

Yup, and jumping and letting him go lets them know it worked and you will let them go. Also utilizing the scruff of the neck to pick them up works well.

I've gone through this with many cats.

Shame you have to spend it in such a dismal place.;):D

^^^What they all said... Nice place to celebrate your birthday.

I took one or two. I haven't edited them yet, but I did edit the video. I'm starting to have fun with this video stuff. Now I'm really going to be chewing up hard drive space! The video from the trip is here (external link). I wish I could figure out how to get YouTube to stop mutilating the videos when it converts them. (Edit: I figured it out... Click on the "Watch in high quality" link under the video window...)

Pretty nice video...

Save up for the next month. I'll probably be going again in late February are early March, whenever the flowers start to bloom. We can make a POTN group meet out of it.

Maybe we can make it then...

I can't remember the exact model number offhand, but the one I got for the car is a Garmin. I love it. All three of my handheld units are Garmin also. I don't really have any experience with other brands, except for my very first GPS. That was a very basic Magellan unit that I didn't keep very long.

We went with the Nuvi 205W. It's pretty neat and seems to be very accurate. We named it Matilda...

I used to do a lot of geocaching. I've even hidden a cache and had a couple travel bugs. I haven't done any of that recently, though.

Is your cache still active?

I am a closet Twinkie junkie, but the deep frying destroys all those delicious preservatives I am a purist in my junk food.

I'm convinced the reason we are living longer is because of all the preservatives in our food...

Todays humor...maybe I should post in the joke thread?

Pillsbury Doughboy Obituary
Veteran Pillsbury spokesman Pop N. Fresh died yesterday of a severe yeast infection. He was 71.

Known to friends as Brown-n-Serve, Fresh was an avid gardener and tennis player. Fresh was buried in one of the largest funeral ceremonies in recent years. Dozens of celebrities turned out including Mrs. Butterworth, the California Raisins, Hungry Jack, Aunt Jemima, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Skippy. The graveside was piled high with flours as longtime friend Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Fresh as a man who "never knew how much he was kneaded."

Fresh rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with many turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes -- conned by those who buttered him up.

Still, even as a crusty old man, he was a roll model for millions. Fresh is survived by his second wife. They have two children and another bun in the oven. The funeral was held at 350 for about 20 minutes.

Chuckle...

Why does day old chinese have to taste so darn good?

misspix wrote in post #7205459 (external link)
Ewwwwwwwwwwww! GAK! There are many things that are better on day two; pizza, spaghetti (well, any pasta), chili...but chinese just turns into this rubbery substance. Ew.

We're doing leftover home-made pizza tonight...

I'd like to WAH. Better than being stuck in an office all day. At least then I could wear my slippers. I don't have pink bunny ones though.

I like working at home (I processed the pictures from the Legends of Aviation event today). I have on flannel pants, a t-shirt and slippers...

But, I'm so afraid right now! This new interest of mine in video couldn't possibly be good for my bank account's future...

Precisely the reason I don't get into it, except for the occasion quick clip with the G5.

How can so much slime come from such a small critter.

A lot! We have a species of cowrie (external link) that indigenous to these waters. They are about an inch and half long and three-quarters of an inch wide. I once picked up a couple in the kelp bed off the coast and put them in the pocket of my wet suit. When I came out of the water I left a trail of slime everywhere I went on the boat...

Do your dogs have to touch you when they are with you? Like when Kona is laying at my feet, he has to put some part of his body on me. If he's 3ft away and laying down, it's no problem...so it's not like he has to touch me all the time. But if I'm sitting on the floor, he comes over and sits on part of me and then chews on whatever he's gnawing on. When I'm walking, he'll walk behind me and bump me (like he's herding me...it's weird...he's not a herder) and if I'm laying down on the floor with my head up he sits next to me but touching but if I put my head down on the floor he dives under my head and digs and bites at me until I get my head up.

This is how the cats are... They have to be right there where you are. Buddy, on the other hand, is perfectly content just to be in the same room. If I'm in the office, he's in there with me and if I move to the living room, he gets up and comes with me.

Thats how I started as well. We had two dogs, brothers and I would never let them up on the furniture. They had two very nice beds in their cages and there was a dog pillow on the floor as well. It worked great for years until one of the brothers died. One day I came home and saw the other pup on the couch. After shooing him off I come to find that my wife was feeling bad because he lost his brother and relaxed the rules.

We tried keeping Buddy off the couch for all of two days...

Question for Lightroom users: Does anyone have any idea why the copy of LR 2 I have on my desktop (XP) won't let me put a upper case Z in the IPTC data fields? I can put a lower case z in there but it won't let me type the upper case letter. I even tried inserting it by a cop/paste from the character map, but as soon as I left the field, it reverted to a lower case letter. I know it's not the keyboard because I can do it other applications like Word... This isn't the case on my Laptop. There it works perfectly. It's real helpful when you have to caption images of a woman whose name is Zoe...

A few questions. Does it do it if it is or is not the first word in the caption? Is that the only letter that it does it to in the same location?
