Hi all
I haven't posted much lately as I have been really busy with work and the Christmas holidays etc
anyway last Thursday I was out working inspecting a bridge using a vehicle called an under bridge snooper truck and saw this beautiful bird sitting on top of the cap next to one of the bearings.
The nest has been there at least 2 years as I saw the owl there last time we inspected the bridge, off course I took my 20D and 100-400 the week before to see if I could see the owl and was glad to see it still there, so when I knew the snoop was scheduled I took my camera along with me.

Well by not posting a pic no one comments, anyway here is a pic

The thing that sucks is that the bridge is scheduled for replacement by the end of the year and ground has been broken for the new structure, with installation of test piles, hopefully the nest will move to the new bridge.

Owls are my favorite and this is a great shot with eyes clearly showing that yellow quality... I hope the nesting bird did not get disturbed though..
