I haven't seen much ringette posted so I thought I would put up some. These were taken at a fabulous 6plex in Whitby, just east of Toronto.

#1

Carrying the ring is a lot easier than a puck.

#2

Receiving a pass (stabbing the ring) is much harder than it seems.

#3

Attacking the defensive triangle.

#4

Using the body to shield the ring

#5

Players cannot carry the ring accross the blue line.

The last one is nothing special, except it's my daughter, receiving some "emotional support" from the coach.

As always, your C&C are welcome.

You're in my back yard.

Good results - I know at least #3 and #6 were on pad 2. Your exif is stripped - what were you set at?

I was thinking last night as I watched my daughter play in pad 2 that for the zillion hours I've spent there, I've never snapped a shot on Pad 2....and it's got that huge reflective ceiling with bounced light for minimal shadow - probably because it's the only pad of the 6 that has plexi around the penalty box.

You have some nice shots here - good colour, faces, 'the ring'. Mind the horizon line as in shot 2 would be my only crit. Cheers

Thanks Darsk; the ceiling of pad 2 was kind of unique, sorta like the rink being wrapped up in aluminum foil.

The exif were:

#1 ISO 2500; F2.8; 1/640 from penalty box with 70-200;
#2, #4, #5 ISO 2500; F2.8; 1/500 from penalty box/bench with 70-200
#3 ISO 1600; F2.8; 1/500 through glass with 24-70
#6 ISO 2500; F2.8; 1/125 with 24-70

all shot with a 1DIII
