I am having a very strange problem when I use my remote transmitter with my 430ex and Canon 40D. Some of my shots are coming out black even though the flash is firing. When the flash is physically attached to the camera, no more black super underexposed frames. Here are some examples. It will work for a little while then I'll get a shot with the shutter in the way. The next shot is usually totally black. Then it will eventually correct itself (at least it seems to - I have not tested this exhaustively). Any ideas? I am WAY under the sync speed as far as my SS is concerned. Camera is in full manual mode. Attached photos were shot at 1/200, iso 400, f/4.6. I even shot the last couple at 1/125. I have moved my focus button to the back. Is my camera broken or is it a setting I've messed with? Troubleshooting help is appreciated!!
Thanks!
