Welcome. In order to make recommendations it will help to know your comfort zone for spending. There's more to this than a scope and mount so you'll need to consider all necessities/accessorie​s in with them.

Have you ever used a telescope or polar aligned one?

Personally I would say you're looking at a good £1000 in order to get "stunning" photos. (I've spent more than that and haven't managed anything stunning yet! :( ) Is £1000 do-able, or were you thinking less, or perhaps you were thinking a lot more??

I'm pretty comfortable spending up to $1500 - $2000 (1000 - 1300euros) would be right around where I'd like to keep my budget preferably.

I have used a telescope and am fairly familiar with the basic ones. I've never used a polar aligned telescope though. I have read quite a bit over the last month or so regarding what I might need but I'm still not to sure.
