Really nice shots! Just wondering if number 3 in the trees is actually a tilt shift lens or you just applied a blur in PS? I'm thinking of purchasing a TSE-90mm and wonder how your couples are liking this style?

Great images. (psst: If you # them, it makes it easier to comment. ;)) Beautiful couple as well and that is always great!

#2 is amazing. Great feeling, dramatic lighting. Great shot.
#3 is pretty cool, but looking away from each other? Cool shot, though!
#4 is gorgeous!
#5 is . . . um, I don't know? Because I don't know what is happening. So if you group it with other shots that explain it... Is this the cake cutting?
#6 Girl on left of image. Too much of the back of her head. I assume this is a prayer with the bride? If so, very important to the couple usually, but if you could crop out a large portion of that black hair, I think the image is stronger. Just MO.
#7 goes on your website. Large on the wall. In your sample album. Whatever. Just an awesome shot. Great lighting. Incredible bokeh. Great grain. Love it!

Great job, were you using the 85L on most of these? The DOF is great.

Very beautiful shots. I love your style and I looked at your site - amazing photos!

I'm considering getting an 85mm f/1.2 (Which you have).
After reading a lot about this lens, I keep seeing that the AF is pretty slow.
Did you use this lens for any of your wedding portraits? Did you have a lot of issues with AF?

I seen one guy's wedding shots on flickr and he was using that lens, and they were really sharp (esp. some in motion ones).

If people keep stating that the AF is slow then I'm not quite sure how you can capture such great candid shots using that lens.

Any thoughts? Thanks a lot...

harroz , jo, lil miss, ejicon, and henry, thanks!

cina, yup, it was with the 45 TS-E. i think people like it a lot, even if they don't know exactly how that effect occurred ;)

collier, thanks so much for the in-depth comments! you're totally right, some of them work best within the context of the rest of the wedding (storyline), like #5 (sorry i always forget to number them, haha)

roddy, yup, lots of 85L, as usual. 24, 35, 45, 50, and 85 for this.

babuska, i use the 85L for a lot of stuff. the mk. II really isn't that slow. prefocusing helps a lot. if you really learn the lens, it's very capable and versatile. i really think that people who have a ton of issues just haven't learned the lens well enough. it does have limitations, but it's better than people make it out to be. all about the practice :)

Wow...just wow. Your pictures in your blog really tell the story of these couples and the all have that wow factor. Great work and thanks for sharing!

Oh, by the way, great series of photos posted in this thread. Prefer the color version over the BW in the first photo.
