What do you guys think is the comparison, considering the Tokina is so sharp for so cheap. I'm guessing the difference comes down to CA?

I guess we can discuss regading all crop factors, cause I think 14mm on the Tokina doesn't vingette on FF (but I may be wrong). If that's the case, then limit discussion to 1D and 1.6x crop owners.

I would look at the lab tests widely available on the net. I've found them to be very reliable and confirmed by user reviews.

I shoot the Tokina 11-16 and it's almost like a prime - the range is limited. It's fast and sharp, really sharp.

Depends what you stop down to. picturecrazy uses the 11-16 with his 1ds mark III. He has done 13mm on it.

I just recently purchase a Tokina 10mm to 16mm. Very sharp lens indeed and I like the fact that it goes from Fisheye to Superwide all in the same lens. I just wish it had something faster like a 2.8 vs its 3.5. Oh well. can't have it all for that price.

I use my Tokina with my 1DMk3 and it works well down to 12.5mm, any wider it vignettes. This lens is slightly sharper than my 24-105L which was sharp! Top lens for the price compared to the 14L, highly recommended!
