Hey yall wanted to ask if there are any reputable camera shops in the bay area that will let you rent lens or take shots with them on your own camera?

Asking because I'm undecided between a 35L, 135L or the 85L and would like to see them in action first :D

BorrowLenses is a great place over near San Carlos, which is close to Palo Alto too.
If you pick up from their HQ there's no courier fee and they have great prices.

I'm still in highschool...
At least it's only going to be spotty showers during the day today and tomorrow. Saturday's going to be a great day to be out!

Any of you planning on shooting at the GGB 75th Anniversary Celebration? I want to try to capture the fireworks at the end of the event.

Starts getting foggy during May, especially toward the end of May. Who knows though with the weird weather this year it might as well be raining at the end of May

that's what I was afraid of. I was hoping to stake out a spot on Hawk Hill to capture the fireworks. Still might be cool to shoot fireworks above the fog

If you (we) get lucky, then Hawk Hill might not be all fogged up, but if there is lower level fog, they might cancel it since only the people at the headlands could see it. :(

Ahh Palo Alto is kinda far trek for me. I'm up in Berkeley East Bay area. Got any suggestions that's further north? hah

There's Calumet Photographic on 2001 (I think) Bryant Street in SF. Their people are great and friendly. If you're a student they could probably get you a discount for it too!
