There's Calumet Photographic on 2001 (I think) Bryant Street in SF. Their people are great and friendly. If you're a student they could probably get you a discount for it too!

Anyone here shoots weddings? I'd like to follow a wedding photographer just to get some wedding experience in.

Im out in Pacifica, just south of SF. I would love to meet up with some photographers in the area!

There have been. In fact, I put together a meetup a couple of years ago in Yosemite, and the year before that we had about 25 people show up to go shooting in Golden Gate Park.

Have fun. I hate huge crowds. It's the same reason I avoid Fleet Week every year.
It's worse than trying to exit a concert.

Fleet week is fun!!! Just take your bike and you're set. Oh, and be sure you have something to do until about 7pm in SF, but that's easy to accomplish

I don't like huge crowds either and also stay away from fleet week. However, Fleet Week is an annual event. GGB 75th is a milestone so I am willing to deal with the crowds then. I'm hoping Hawk Hill or someplace above it that I can hike to won't be as crowded.
