I have the Genesis 200 strobes and I bought one of those Stanley FatMax tool chests to carry them in. I can only fit 2 in there and there is no room for the reflectors. But I figured if I removed the modeling lamp and had a smaller protective cap for the head, I could fit more than 2 - and maybe the reflectors. I remember there being a big debacle with protective caps that were too small with the modeling lamps - but that may be just what I need. So, I was wondering if anybody had some that they would sell me. Or if anyone has additional suggestions.

Buy your wife a new suitcase in exchange for her old one. The medium size can accomodate nicely all the foam padding that came with the lights, 3 lights with modeling lamps and protecting caps on. Plus you can stuff there backdrops, a grid or two, set of gels, remote triggers, soft modifiers. (that is what I keep there ).
Very cheap and convenient, and most important your wife is happy too with her new suitcase :-)

yeah, I have (1) smaller cap if you're interested. One box came with both the large and small, the other came with just the large.

That is a darn good idea. I'm going to see how they fit when I get home tonight.

Thanks. Papa, good idea. Only I don't think I have an appropriate sized suitcase for that purpose. At least without it moving around. I will check it out though. I was thinking about this bag - which is cheaper than a suitcase I am guessing - http://www.bhphotovideo.com …ails&Q=&sku=497539&is=REG (external link)

Yeah John, I wouldn't mind having that cap. How much do you want to ship it to 17321?

Should work, but only without the modeling light. With longer protective cap the light is about 17" long.

Actually, it's 14" with the long cap. Measured it this morning.
